Hebrews 10:24-25 (KJV)
“And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together…”
God never intended Christianity to be lived completely alone. We need one another. When believers gather, we encourage one another. We pray for one another. We worship together. We hear testimonies. We receive instruction from God's Word. We are reminded that we are not fighting the good fight by ourselves. Hebrews tells us not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together. Why? Because our gathering benefits somebody else, too. Your presence matters. There may be someone who needs the encouragement you carry. Someone may need your testimony. Someone may need your prayer. Someone may simply need to see another believer faithfully showing up. Church isn't only about what you receive. It is also about what God can give through you.
Prayer
Lord, help me understand the importance of assembling with Your people. Remind me that my presence can encourage someone else. Keep me from becoming isolated or disconnected from the body of Christ. Make me faithful, committed, and intentional about gathering with Your people. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Today’s Declaration
“My presence matters. I will not forsake the assembling of God's people.”
Reflection
Who might God want to encourage through your presence, prayer, testimony, or service?
