Joshua 24:15 (KJV)
“…choose you this day whom ye will serve… but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
Serving begins with a decision. Before we ever serve with our hands, our voices, our talents, or our gifts, we must first surrender our hearts to God. The question isn't simply, “What can I do?” The deeper question is: “Lord, how can I serve You?” God has called every believer to participate in His work. We are not merely spectators sitting on the sidelines. We are members of the body of Christ, and every member has a purpose. Serving may happen on a platform, but it can also happen behind the scenes. It may involve preaching, singing, teaching, greeting, cleaning, praying, giving, encouraging, helping children, visiting someone who is hurting, preparing a meal, or simply noticing a need and meeting it. There is something powerful about saying: “Lord, use me.”
Prayer
Father, give me a servant's heart. Remove selfishness, pride, and hesitation that keep me from serving You and others. Help me stop asking what others can do for me and teach me to ask what I can do for Your kingdom. I surrender my time, abilities, resources, and gifts to You. Use me for Your glory. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Where might God be asking you to become more available to serve?
